Both companies jointly manage ChuoKart’s brand, operations and moderation framework.

3. Eligibility

ChuoKart is designed primarily for students enrolled in accredited institutions in Kenya. You must:

  Be at least 16 years old and

  Have a valid student email or verified ERP account (Unisol, Intellimis, or Genesis).

Alumni and verified vendors may also join with approval.

4. Account Registration & Verification

To use ChuoKart, you must:

  Provide accurate details (name, email, phone number, institution).
• 2.
  Verify your student identity (via ERP login or student ID).
• 3.
  Keep your credentials confidential and not share your account.

We may suspend or remove accounts with false or misleading information.

5. Marketplace Rules

ChuoKart is a safe and verified marketplace for students. You agree to:

  Post honest and accurate listings (no fake, illegal, or misleading items).
• •
  Avoid prohibited items such as stolen goods, drugs, weapons, or academic materials (e.g., exam papers).
• •
  Use respectful language and avoid offensive or profane content.
• •
  Meet in safe public places for physical exchanges and verify items before payment.
• •
  Respect moderators’ instructions when listings are flagged or removed.

Violating these rules may lead to suspension, banning, or referral to your institution’s dean/security office.

6. Payments and Transactions

  Payments between students and vendors are powered by Lollapay, which supports M-Pesa, bank and card payments.
• •
  ChuoKart does not hold or guarantee payment between users; trades are peer-to-peer unless using a vendor storefront.
• •
  Always verify goods or services before completing payment.
• •
  We are not responsible for losses caused by unsafe offline exchanges.

7. Boosts and Paid Features

ChuoKart offers optional boosts and subscriptions to increase visibility:

  Student boosts: KES 20–150
• •
  Vendor boosts or plans: As shown in pricing
• •
  Institutional sponsorships: As per agreement

All payments for boosts or subscriptions are non-refundable unless due to system error.

8. Moderation and Enforcement

To keep ChuoKart safe:

  Listings may be auto-checked using AI filters for profanity, scams, or restricted content.
• •
  Repeated or serious violations (e.g., stolen items, fraud) may lead to a permanent ban.
• •
  Each institution may appoint moderators (e.g., Dean, Registrar, or approved staff) who can view and review flagged listings.
• •
  ABNO reserves the right to cooperate with universities, polytechnics and law enforcement for verified investigations.

9. Intellectual Property

  All ChuoKart logos, trademarks, designs and content are owned by ABNO Softwares International Ltd and Lolla Technologies Ltd.
• •
  You retain ownership of content you post (e.g., item photos, descriptions) but grant us a non-exclusive license to display and promote it on the Platform.
• •
  You may not copy, resell, or scrape data from ChuoKart without written consent.

10. Privacy

Your use of ChuoKart is subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and protect your data. By using ChuoKart, you consent to the collection and use of your information as outlined there.

11. Disclaimers

  ChuoKart is a peer-to-peer marketplace. We do not own, inspect, or guarantee the quality of listed items.

  Users trade at their own discretion and risk.

  We are not liable for loss, damage, or injury arising from transactions between users.

  We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service but will always strive for uptime and improvement.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to:

  Suspend or terminate your account for violating terms or engaging in unsafe conduct.

  Remove listings that violate policy or local law.
• •
  Restrict access to any feature for maintenance or security reasons.

You may delete your account anytime by emailing info@abnosoftwares.com.

13. Limitation of Liabilitys

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  ChuoKart, ABNO and Lolla shall not be responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

  Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for paid services (e.g., boosts or subscriptions) within the last 3 months.

14. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ChuoKart, ABNO and Lolla, their officers, employees and partners from any claims, damages, or losses resulting from:

  Your transactions, or

  Your breach of these Terms.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms occasionally to reflect new features, rules, or legal requirements. Updated Terms will be posted on the Platform with the “Last Updated” date revised. Continued use means you accept the updated terms.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Kenya and any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Kenyan courts.
